About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled BIM/CAD Designer (Roads) to join our India team and support projects across the Middle East. In this position, you will handle a range of design and drafting responsibilities for highways and roads while contributing to BIM processes and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review highway design deliverables, including roadway layouts, plans & profiles, cross sections, signage, markings, pavements, kerbs, and setting-out details.
- Work independently on highway drawings and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Review and check drawings produced by junior team members.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are properly documented.
- Manage and review 3D highway models, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with Information Managers and discipline leads during interdisciplinary checks and project coordination.
- Conduct self-checks and assist in quality control reviews for project deliverables.
- Contribute to BIM strategies, execution plans, workflows, and processes, aligning with Atkins standards and client requirements.
- Support project managers and discipline leads in defining scope and agreeing on delivery approaches.
- Participate in coordination meetings, clash resolution sessions, and design integration reviews.
- Maintain high competency in BIM and design software tools.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, environmental, and governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of CAD drafting experience in roads/highways across the Middle East or UAE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, KeyLINES, SIGNS, Vehicle Tracking, and Navisworks.
- Experience preparing MIDP, TIDP, and BIM execution plans.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority guidelines as well as international standards such as AASHTO, KSA, and QHDM.
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, including LOD requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
